ORLANDO, FL — MARCH 31, 2026 — The kitchen is officially open, and revenge is the main course. Independent production house FEAR FILM Studios is thrilled to reveal the official festival poster for “CRYPT OF FEAR – Meat the Cleaver,” the first chilling installment in their new horror anthology series.
Capturing the dark, pun-filled irony of 1950s “Pre-Code” horror comics, the poster features lead actress Shannon Scott in a transformative performance as a scorned housewife who trades her rolling pin for a butcher’s blade. After discovering her husband’s infidelity, Shannon’s character takes “splitting the assets” to a literal, bone-chilling level.
“We wanted to pay homage to the era of EC Comics and ‘shudder pulps’ where the horror was grisly but also a lot of fun,” says Robert Massetti, Director of Meat the Cleaver. “Shannon brings a terrifyingly domestic groundedness to the role. She isn’t just a killer; she’s a woman who is finally trimming the fat from her life—one piece at a time.”
“Meat the Cleaver” is set to begin its highly anticipated run at major film festivals this season. Horror fans can expect a fast-paced, “Grindhouse” style experience that balances campy humor with the visceral practical effects that defined the golden age of horror.
