ORLANDO, FL — July 2026 — FEAR FILM Studios has announced a massive pivot for its highly anticipated independent horror anthology series, CRYPT OF FEAR. Following a wildly successful big-screen premiere of the show’s first episode, “MEAT THE CLEAVER,” the studio has officially entered preliminary talks with industry distributors to bring the series to a global audience.
To meet standard distribution requirements, creator and director Robert Massetti has announced that Season One is officially expanding from three episodes to a complete five-episode package—while keeping the project’s Kickstarter funding goal at the exact same $15,000 target.
However, alongside this major industry milestone comes a stark reality check for the independent studio: the Kickstarter campaign is currently running out of time to meet its all-or-nothing $15,000 goal. If the target is not reached before the campaign clock expires, the project receives zero funding, effectively halting production and shelving the exclusive physical media release.
“Entering distribution talks is a massive validation of what we are building, but the industry doesn’t fund independent production—they acquire finished products,” said Massetti. “We completely re-worked our production budget to squeeze all five required episodes into our base $15,000 goal. We are doing everything in our power to make this series a reality, but we are at a critical juncture. Without the fans stepping up to bridge this final gap on Kickstarter, the crypt stays closed.”
The anthology series is a passion project designed specifically for true genre fans. Deliberately stepping away from modern trends that rely on excessive gore for the sake of gore, CRYPT OF FEAR focuses on delivering totally original, thrilling, and deeply scary concepts. The show utilizes hand-crafted practical special makeup effects not for cheap shock value, but to ground the terrifying, unpredictable narratives.
If the $15,000 goal is successfully funded, the capital will be used to completely finish the five-episode deliverable package for distributors. This includes filming four brand-new episodes, as well as providing a high-end polish to Episode 1, “MEAT THE CLEAVER,” which will receive additional practical FX work and a brand-new original score to clear all worldwide music rights.
With time running out on the all-or-nothing campaign, FEAR FILM Studios is calling on horror fans, physical media collectors, and advocates for independent cinema to help them cross the finish line and bring this uncompromising nightmare to life.
