ORLANDO, FL — March 26, 2026 — FEAR FILM Studios has announced a major update regarding the debut of its upcoming horror anthology series, CRYPT OF FEAR. The first installment, titled MEAT THE CLEAVER, will now move from its scheduled April 3 digital release to an exclusive 2026 International Film Festival run.
Designed as a cinematic tribute to the controversial “Pre-Code” horror comics of the 1950s, MEAT THE CLEAVER has reached a level of stylistic polish that the studio believes belongs on the big screen. By prioritizing a festival launch, FEAR FILM Studios aims to establish CRYPT OF FEAR as a premier genre brand before bringing the nightmare home to fans.
“We’ve spent months crafting a specific, grimy, ‘ink-and-blood’ aesthetic for this series,” says Robert Massetti, CEO of FEAR FILM Studios. “The response to our early teasers has shown us that ‘Meat the Cleaver’ isn’t just a digital release—it’s a theatrical event. We want to give our fans the pride of seeing a FEAR FILM original title competing on the global stage alongside the biggest names in horror.”
CRYPT OF FEAR is the definitive modern take on the “forbidden” horror of the 1950s—where the monsters are grotesque, the justice is poetic, and the terror is absolute.
Official festival premiere dates and a revised wide-release schedule will be updated via the FEAR FILM Studios official website and social media channels.
